Health Care and Dividends focus of new video

The Kahnaw�:ke Casino Project Team is pleased to announce the release of the latest video presentation that features Kahnaw�:ke�s Health Care Needs and related funding shortfalls, as well as how dividends can help those in need. The video is now online at www.kahnawakecasinoproject.com and will also be available for viewing on Paul�s Cable channel 4 (Mohawk TV).

Health Care and medication is being cut annually. Kahnawa�kehr�:non are struggling to pay for basic health care, such as prescription medications, dental needs and eye care that used to be covered. The Casino Project Team interviewed several key people in the area of health care, some of our elders who are seeing the struggles to pay for medication and some with individual stories. 

Anyone with questions regarding the project is invited to visit the Casino Project Information Center located at the former Environment Protection building on the Old Malone Highway.  Office hours are from 10am to 5:30pm Mondays through Fridays.
