Amended Landfill Policy and Procedures for Clean Soil documents posted online

The Lands Unit of the Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke would like to inform the community that the amended Landfill Policy and Procedures for Clean Soil documents are now posted online and can be viewed at www.kahnawake.com.

Replacing the 2008 version, the new documents have been re-organized with a new title and enhanced procedures to narrow gaps in service which will provide the Landfill Department tools for continued quality service.

Following stakeholder consultation through the summer of 2012, the amended policy and procedures were approved in principle by Chief & Council on January 28, 2013. After a 30 day community review opportunity, the amendments were officially approved with the signing of a Mohawk Council Executive Directive on Tuesday, May 21, 2013.
