MCK Housing Department accepting applications for single person rental units

Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke (MCK) Housing Department is accepting applications for the rental of the recently constructed Canada Mortgage & Housing Corporation Section 95 Social Housing Units designed to accommodate a single person.

Persons interested in applying for rental of a unit must fit the following criteria:

• Must be registered on the Kahnaw�:ke Kanien�keh�:ka Registry
• Single adult � male or female
• Income is low or fixed
• Must not currently own a house
• Experiencing challenges that have resulted in the inability to access private rental housing in the community
• Willing to work with MCK Housing in the development of a case management plan
• Willing to submit to a security background check
• Willing to pay a rent established by the MCK Social Development Unit Committee
