Hearing DELAYED for Kahnawake counter to Canada S-2 law

The Kahnaw�:ke Legislative Coordinating Commission (KLCC) wishes to advise the community that the Hearing for the proposed Kahnaw�:ke legislation to counter Canada�s S-2 (�Matrimonial Real Interest�) law, originally scheduled for Tuesday January 7, 2014 has been POSTPONED.

Certain tasks and activities have to be carried out before the Hearing takes place. Once these are completed the meeting will be re-scheduled. Additionally, a draft of the proposed Kahnaw�:ke legislation will be distributed to the community upon its completion.

The KLCC thanks the community for their understanding in this matter.
