Agenda set for Membership Law Hearing next Tuesday

The Kahnaw�:ke Legislative Coordinating Commission would like to inform the community that the agenda for the next meeting on proposed amendments to the Kahnaw�:ke Membership Law has been set.

The meeting will take place on Tuesday, 24 Kentenhk�:wa/November 2015 from 6pm to 8:30pm at the Knights of Columbus Hall. The agenda will include Sections 8, 9 and 10. Should time permit, discussion could begin on Section 11. The Sections are as follows:

8. Kanien�keh�ka Registry Advisory Board (the new section regarding community advisory to the Registrar)
9. Review of Registrar�s Decision (proposal for three new levels to appeal Registrar�s decision)
10. Membership Review Council (to be used until implementation of Kahnaw�:ke Justice Act)
11. Verification of Recognition the criteria for determining who can be a future automatic member � time permitting)
