Kahnaw�ke Language and Culture Fair coming on 4-5 Oneraht�kha (April)

The Tewahar�:tat Tsi Niionkwarih�:ten / Kahnaw�:ke Language and Culture Network (KLCN) is inviting the community to take part in Kahnaw�:ke′s first Language and Culture Fair on Wednesday and Thursday, 4-5, Oneraht�kha/April, between 3pm and 8pm at the Knights of Columbus Hall.

The booths and displays at the fair will showcase the various organizations and programs within our community that promote language and cultural revitalization.  Participants can visit these booths to learn more about all the learning opportunities that are currently happening within the community. 

Activities for the two day FREE event include an elder�s speaking circle, curriculum sale, mini presentations, demonstrations by local artisans, and more.  Also available are a Kid′s Activity Zone, 1/2 and 1/2 raffle, door prizes, photo opportunities with T�ta t�non� Ohkw�:ri, and a traditional food fundraiser by Iakwahwatsirat�tie and Karihwan�:ron.  The event will be broadcast live on K103.7 FM Radio as part of Cultural Awareness month.

The KLCN is made up of representatives from various organizations and language/cultural programs, as well as, individuals within the community that create and/or assist with the revitalization of Onkwaw�n:na tan�n Tsi Niionkwarioh�:ten.
