Unveiling of Commemorative Plaque

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke is pleased to announce the unveiling of a commemorative plaque dedicated to Those Who Protect Our Community.

The commemorative poster board applauds officers and members of the Kahnawake Peacekeepers and Kahnawake Fire Brigade who continually put their lives in danger, to ensure the safety of ours.

"All too often we take things for granted� said Executive Director, Alana Goodleaf-Rice. We thought it was important for the Community to see the faces of the people who keep us safe on a daily basis. Without hesitancy, these people put aside their personal lives to respond to our needs".

The unveiling will take place in the lobby of the Services Complex, on Wednesday, April 2, 2008 at 10 a.m. All community members are invited to attend this unveiling.
