Work on Parcel E Lands at Chemin St. Bernard

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke (MCK) wishes to inform the community that work to clear brush along the northern edge of the Parcel E Lands adjacent to the Old Chateauguay Road (OCR) is underway.

A local tree service is removing brush and overgrowth for the relocation of the utility poles on the Parcel E Lands to the edge of Chemin St. Bernard (on the OCR), which was required by the MCK during the A30 lands negotiations.

The Kahnaw�:ke Environment Protection Office surveyed the area this past summer to ensure minimal disturbance. Several trees and shrubs were identified and marked to ensure they would not be removed.
