Overnight ramp closure 138 east Mercier Bridge

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawake (MCK) has been advised by the Jacques Cartier and Champlain Bridges Incorporated (JCCBI) that it will close the R-138 east up-ramp (towards Montreal).

The closure of the R-138 up-ramp to the Montreal-bound Mercier Bridge will take place tonight (Tuesday, May 19) from 10:30pm to Wednesday at 4am. A detour via R-132 will be in place.

This closure is required as crews will be conducting survey and pavement sampling work. Samples of the pavement will be drilled out and analyzed to determine future roadway maintenance and or repair work.

This work is considered essential and approved by the Kahnaw�:ke COVID-19 Pandemic Task Force.

The MCK reminds the public that these works are subject to change due to weather conditions, operational constraints, or work progression and that it does not take part in the scheduling or cancellation of such works.km
