Indian Day Schools Settlement assistance available

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke wishes to update the community that the Indian Day School Project Coordinator, Louise Mayo, is advising claimants who wish to receive any assistance in their settlement files to call to confirm the status of their individual claims.

Assistance is available for any claimant. Those who have applied over six (6) months ago (for Level 1 claims), contacted Deloitte, and have not received confirmation that your claim is complete should call Ms. Mayo immediately. Similarly, for Level 2 to 5 claimants (however, please note that the waiting period before calling is twelve (12) months). Assistance can also be given if you have received a letter stating that there is missing information.

Please have on hand the Level of the Claim, the date submitted and any notes on any additional information needed as this is important information to be used by the Project Coordinator to assist you.
