Official list of Candidates announced for 2021 MCK Elections

The following is the official list of candidates for the 2021 Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke Elections. There are five (5) candidates for the position of Grand Chief and twenty (20) candidates for the position of Council Chief. Please be reminded that Election Day will be held on Saturday, July 3, 2021, from 9am � 6pm (location to be determined).

�Please be reminded that all of the former nominees have been vetted through all applicable and available verification processes,� said Electoral Officer Angus Montour. �All are deemed, as per my certification, to be legitimate and true candidates for the 2021 MCK elections.�

�As a final note, any nominee name missing from the original unofficial list have either withdrew their application or have been deemed ineligible to run in the 2021 election, due to section 12.1 (h) of the Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke Elections Law, but are eligible in 2024,� he continued.
