Investigation to begin on Fr. Leon Lajoie issue

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke (MCK) wishes to inform the community that the investigation into allegations of sexual abuse against the late Father Leon Lajoie will begin today (Wednesday, November 3rd).
 
The investigation will be undertaken by representatives of the King International Advisory Group, a well-known investigation, intelligence, and enterprise risk management consulting agency. The investigation firm was appointed by the Jesuit Order of Canada.

Father Lajoie was a priest and, later, the long-time pastor for the St. Francis Xavier Mission in Kahnaw�:ke. He retired in the mid-1990�s and passed away in 1999.
