Water Line Repairs

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke would like to inform residents that the Public Works Unit will be making repairs to a broken water line on '5th Avenue' between the Twin Hills and the triangle near Angeline Stacey's. The work is expected to begin at 8am tomorrow (Wednesday) morning until 12 noon.

Residents in the area will be inconvenienced with the loss of water in order for the repairs to be undertaken. Once water has been restored, community members are advised to boil drinking water until tests prove it is safe to consume.

The water line undergoing repairs is the last of the original 1958 underground infrastructure in Kahnaw�:ke.
