The Waste Management Department of the Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke would like to remind the community that organic material DOES NOT belong in the household garbage collection.

The Kahnaw�:ke Community Composting service is the collection of all organics including:

Pumpkins
Cornstalks
Hay/Straw Bales
Leaves (must be in clear, orange or paper bags)

Please have all organics curbside by 7am on the same day as your recycling collection.

Kahnaw�:ke Community Organics Collection happens every week and is an effective way for your household to help fight against Climate Change and for a sustainable future.
