Minimax Recycling truck back in service

The Waste Management Department of the Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke would like to inform the community that the Minimax truck (Big Blue) will resume collection of the Blue Bins as of today, Monday, March 14, 2022.

We cannot stress enough how important it is to place only the items that are acceptable in the blue bin to avoid further disruption in services.

Acceptable Recyclable Items include:

• Plastics with the recycling symbol  
• Paper and paperboard products (i.e., cereal boxes), cans (soup, tuna fish cans)
• Glass � jars/bottles

DO NOT place these items in the blue bins, as these items damage the recycling truck:

• Solvents, oils, fuels do not go into the recycling bin. These Items go to the Transfer Depot as Household Hazardous Waste. 
• Large metal items do not go into the recycling bin. These items go to the Transfer Depot as metal recycling
• Wood materials do not go into the recycling bin. These items go to the Transfer Depot as construction materials
