Rainfall Warning in effect

The Public Safety Division of the Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke wishes to advise the community that Environment Canada has issued a Rainfall Warning for our area.

Rain, possibly heavy at times, will begin later today and is expected to continue throughout the day

Rainfall amounts of 20 to 30 millimeters are expected, with some areas receiving up to 40 millimeters. Heavy rainfall can cause flash flooding and water pooling on roads and highways.

Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible.

Homeowners are advised to verify that their home′s sump pump is functioning properly and take any other necessary precautions.
