Peacekeepers Update on threats made against local schools

On Friday, June 3rd, at approximately 18:00, the Kahnawake Peacekeepers were advised by the Texas Department of Public Safety that the suspect who placed the threatening call to Kateri School, and a separate call to Karonhian�nhnha School, had been identified as a 10-year-old girl in San Antonio, Texas.

The girl and her friends admitted to using the mobile app Roblox to coordinate the prank. There is no longer an active threat to the community.

Peacekeepers will maintain a police presence in the vicinity of local schools to ease the anxieties of parents, students, and staff.

No charges are pending at this time.
