Technical Drafting Committee seeks focus group participants for Mohawk Council of Kahnawake Election Law amendments

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke�s Technical Drafting Committee (�the Committee�) has received approval to amend the Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke Election Law (�the Law�), and will now proceed with the requirements as per the Community Decision Making & Review Process.

The Committee is seeking interested community members to participate in a series of focus groups to review the proposed amendments to the Law. There are a total of 35 proposed amendments that will be reviewed over the course of the sessions.

Sessions are set for Tuesday evenings from 4pm-6:30pm on May 2nd, 9th, 16th, and 23rd, with the possibility of a fifth session on May 30th, 2023. Refreshments and meal(s) will be provided and as an added incentive, participants will be entered to win a gift certificate at the end of the review sessions.
