Removable Speed Bumps to be Installed

The Public Safety Division of the Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke wishes to inform road users that Speed Bumps will be installed tomorrow near schools and recreation areas in the community.

Installed by Public Works, the Speed Bumps will remain in place for six (6) weeks, after which they will be removed for the winter season to ensure the snowplows can pass. They will be re-installed next Spring.

Following consultations with the community and stakeholders, Public Safety will implement a Road Safety Plan, including additional Road Signs and Bollards (short posts to create a protective perimeter) throughout the community to reduce speed and promote safe driving practices.
