Reminder about Community Compost Collection

The Waste Management Department of the Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke would like to remind Kahnawa′kehr�:non that the community compost collection accepts the following items:

• Pumpkins
• Haybales
• Straw
• Cornstalks
• Bags of leaves (clear bags or paper bags, free of garbage)

By composting these items, we are taking the organics out of landfills and providing our community with healthy soil.

To do your part in helping the Earth, please place all organic material out for collection on the same day as your recycling for the community compost collection.
