Kenitsenhaienhs attending AFN Chiefs Assembly in Ottawa

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawake is informing the community that Kenitsenhaienhs Kahsennenhawe Sky-Deer and Tonya Perron are attending the Assembly of First Nations (AFN) Chiefs Assembly in Ottawa, Ontario today (December 5) through Thursday.

Agenda items include the Circle of Trade, AFN Resolutions, First Nations Child and Family Services and Jordan�s Principle Compensation, and the Election for AFN National Chief.

Sky-Deer and Perron will be accompanied by Chief Political Advisor Winona Polson-Lahache. All representatives are scheduled to return to the office on Friday, December 8.
