Chief & Council Accept Primary Budget

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke has announced that Chief & Council have accepted the primary budget for 2009/2010.

The budget had gone through three phases of review prior to yesterday�s (Monday) presentation. It is similar to last year�s budget and achieves the goal of zero balance between revenues and expenses. This amount does not include dollars transferred to other organizations through the MCK.

Some secondary items are still up for discussion and may be added to the overall total. Once finalized, a detailed budget will be formally presented to the community by the MCK�s Finance & Administration Unit. This is scheduled to take place on 1, Oneraht�kha/April.
