Road Closure Notice

The Capital Unit of the Mohawk Council of Kahnawake would like to inform all Kahnawa�kehr�:non that the CPR Tunnel will be CLOSED on Thursday, August 6, 2009 from 7am to 3:30pm, weather permitting.

The Capital Construction crew will be tying in the water main on the Old Malone Highway. The Capital Unit is asking all residents east of the tunnel that are on the centralized water system, including Clay Mountains and beyond, to conserve water by NOT filling your pools or watering lawns during this time.

Proper signalization will be erected delimiting the work zone and detours will be clearly marked to allow for safe alternate routes.
