Partial Closure River Road to Old Malone

The Capital Unit of the Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke would like to inform all Kahnawa�kehr�:non that that a portion of River Road and Old Malone Highway will be closed on Thursday, September 3rd from 7am to 3:30pm, weather permitting.

The closure will begin on River Road in front of the Town Garage and extend to the Old Malone Highway (at Eileen's Bakery), then extend up to the west side of the CPR Tunnel. The road entry to the Kahnaw�:ke Services Complex will also be closed at this time. Services Complex staff and visitors are asked to use the side entrance located below the CPR Train Bridge.

This closure is necessary to allow the Capital Construction crew to begin asphalting the road surface. Proper signalization will be erected delimiting the work zone and detours will be clearly marked to allow for safe alternate routes.
