�Essential Snow Removal Program� Returns

The Special Projects Division of the Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke (MCK) is pleased to announce that the Essential Snow Removal service for low income elderly and disabled community members will be in operation from December 1st, 2009 to March 31st, 2010.

The snow removal provides access to residences for emergency services and includes snow shoveling of the driveway, walkway and porch. The program is accepting a maximum of 65 clients; previous clientele are not guaranteed eligibility and must re-apply for this service.

Applications forms can be picked up at the MCK reception and submitted no later than Friday, November 13th, 2009 at 4:00 pm. No applications will be accepted after this date.

Representatives from the Special Projects division will be on hand at the Kahnawake Services Complex on Wednesday, October 28th, 2009 from 9:30 am � 12:30 pm to answer questions and assist with completing the form.

All Kahnawa�kehr�:non who are on the Kahnawake Kanien�kehaka Registry and who meet the following criteria are eligible to apply for the service:

� A person of 65 years of age or older or a person who is physically disabled.
o The person/couple is someone who lives alone with limited income and has little or no extended family.
o The person/couple is someone who has a medical problem (either short term or long term).
o The person/couple is someone who has no family to look out for their well�being.
