Landfill Department
The Landfill Office provides for the safe, effective and efficient operation of landfill services within the community. The Landfill Office in collaboration with the Environment Protection Office, coordinates, monitors and documents the entire landfilling process to ensure our health, safety, and land are protected from contaminated soil being dumped or moved within the territory. Presently, there are eight (8) documented contaminated sites in Kahnawá:ke.
Services Provided
- Landfill for Kahnawake Community Members.
- Information on proper procedures for landfilling.
- Answers to any questions you may have regarding landfilling within the community.
- Copies of the Clean Soil Policy, all forms, applications and requests necessary for landfilling.
The Landfill Office is located on the second floor of the Environment Protection Building and can be reached by phone at 450-632-8774.
